Wray's comments I like that you discuss perspective in terms of error and grading. You show how teaching practices affect perspective in negative ways. Try to offer even more details of your personal experience and analyze them to show how perspective is "constructed" by these practices. Also, try to state your main point at the beginning.

Wray's comments I like that you discuss the way that different teaching practices and assignments create different writing environments. Try to offer even more details from your personal experiences and analyze them to show more particular ways that environment is related to the construct of perspective.

Wray's comments I like that you attempt to discuss
"perspective" from a social angle: how the military culture affects your political perspective. This needs to be followed up by a discussion of how this affects your writing practices. You need to offer more details of your personal experience and analyze them to show something particular about the construct of "perspective." You are far short of the 500 word minimum length.

group page comments This wiki page effectively presents the complex ways writing itself is constructed of multiple practices, but also how those practices are constructs of educational methods and assignments as well as by various discourse communities. For me, the hardest part of this essay to understand was exactly what you mean by “perspective.” I don’t feel that you ever clearly lay out what perspective is. At times, I believe you collapse or confuse the meanings of “construct” and “process” (eg. in paragraphs 3 and 4). I still wonder if the construct you are describing here is “meaning.” Since you insist it perspective, I think you are referring to the process of developing meaning. Do you believe that perspective is created by individual reactions or by relationships between writers and readers?

theatre writing. Being around my friends also inspires my writing. When I write just to be writing, I like being around my friends or different people. They give me inspiration for my different characters and the situations the characters are in. Being around the people I know calm me when I am writing because I know if I get stuck I can always just turn around and ask them for help or ideas. Being who they are, they will be more than willing to help and just help make a positive environment when I am totally stressing out.

For me, mostconstruct. This can highly influence a person’s writing construct depending on what is going on around the writer and how they feel in their situation. Some people may find it easier to write in school, while others find it easier to write in open, calm and relaxing places. I on one hand find the outdoors to be an amazing place to write.
Most of the time i was writing I did- I did when I was in school. When I wrote in school I never really felt it had to be gramatically correct and structuredlike I was expressing myself the way I wanted when I wrote for any of my English teachers though. They always wanted a properly structured, grammatically correct paper like any

were any gramaticalgrammatical mistakes in the paper. School is a tense place where I feel I am stressing on anything but the quality of my paper, whereas writing anywhere else was a perfectly fine place to write. Writing for English class and writing for my Theatre class were two totally different experiences. My theatre teacher asked us to write a paper about our lives but she gave no length requirement, she told us to write from the heart, to put our opinions in our paper and just to write what we felt. I have never been given an assignment where I could write whatever I wanted in the way that I wanted with absolutely no restrictions. I ended up sitting outside the Student Union writing this paper. The environment was so calm and I felt so relaxed and free out there and it reflected in my theatre writing.

For me, most of events. As individuals interpret recurring eventsthe time i was writing in their environment, they gain experienceschool. When I wrote in school I felt it had to be gramatically correct and their construct systems maystructured properly like any essay should be. My english 4 professor would not even look at the paper if it did not have paragraphs that were indented, and can change.he would stop reading if there were any gramatical mistakes in the paper.
Writing Construct - Perspective

A particular aspect of writing may be perceived as a construct simply due to the fact that the means by which the topic of the writing is defined in itself as a construct, making it apt to being contested, redefined or reinvented. For example, politics; the idea of politics change everyday, making it a construct when writing and rhetoric are concerned. But what exactly makes ideas like politics change everyday? The answer is rather simple. When people write articles, compositions or whatever, they are feeding off of their own personal foundations of knowledge. They use their environment and the world around them, what they have learned from their environment, and their personal experience within their environments to build their own responses to certain ideas. As the world changes, people change and as people change, so do their morals and perspectives.
The study of perspective as a writing construct is important because the more one knows about how to approach, assess and efficiently contribute to rhetoric, the better they can interact in rhetorical situations. This very much supports the theme that Tierney and Pearson had claiming that "readers don't 'find' meaning in texts, but instead texts guide readers in how to build meaning using what they already know and new information that the text provides" (p.174).
Construct is something that varies from person to person. Different people have different definitions of what a writing construct is. These different or varied ways of writing construct come from many things. One way can be how a person was taught to construct their writing. This could cause them to be more comfortable with one type of writing construct rather then how a new professor or a new boss would like it. Another way is from past experiences. For example, someone may have had trouble with one way of constructing their writing but then found a different way from other experiences with writing. The same situation goes for error. It is different based on the student. This causes different students to have different approaches to how they construct their writings. Different age groups construct their writings in different ways also. How a person was taught to write will greatly affect their ways of writing construct.
In elementary school all the teachers are worried about teaching you about writing is writing in complete sentences. In middle school the teachers start teaching you how to plan out your writing, so they teach you how to make outlines and how to make a rough draft based on your outline. These teachers aren’t really concerned with errors at this point. Then they want you to construct a final piece where they then take your errors into account. In high school, the teachers expect you to have your own construct on writing, but when you write a paper for them they want you to write it the way they want it. Gramatically correct pieces with no errors. You aren’t really using your own construct, you are just basing your paper on what you think is the teachers writing construct.
Perspective is just one way that writing can be constructed. Writing constructs are something that are asked about by a lot of writers. Writing construct is important beacuse it helps to show the ways in which different people write and it shows why there are different types and veiws of writing. Construct is also important beacuse it is the starting point of the work. If the construct is wrong or not well organized then the writing will most likely be unorganized and not very interesting.
